ONE OF THE FIRST WALKS I TOOK

After I got out of the hospital was a few days after my sister left to go home on 11/29.

I was still off balance but craving a walk - needing to get outside and be normal.

We took the kids up to the end of Carnelian where there is a bridle trail that goes

across to Beryl.

I decided that is where I wanted to walk. It wasn't on cement or asphalt, but wonderful

uneven dirt ground - like hiking on a trail.

The kids had fun and I was so glad to get out.

I had to hang on to Mike's arm the whole time or I would have tilted over.

Thank God that problem is fixed.

THE LIVING DESERT

Last Sunday we made a trip to Palm Desert to see the Living Desert.

I realized I put them on a different blog but not here.

Kenzie picked the new colors for the blog - I had her choose what she wanted.

Oh...and of course these photos were from when Hannah visited about a month ago.

They are wearing matching outfits because I got Hannah this outfit to match Mac's - which she has had for a longer time.

SAW HANNAH ONE TIME WHILE WE WERE UP IN SLO

We saw Ron, Erin and Hannah once - the first night we were up in SLO. We all ate at Tahoe Joe's and I got this photo of Erin and Hannah. Wished we had seen them more but Hannah had school and Erin had work.

I WHIP MY HAIR BACK AND FORTH

Mac loves that song.

She's very light on her feet - and often prances when she runs.  I have many photos that show her running with her feet not touching the ground.

WE TOOK JAKE AND MAC TO THE SHADY HILLS PARK

Jake liked the slides but more than anything he was smitten with this bench.

He hung out in this area a lot.

I love this second pic down - he climbed up and then sat down and seemed content for awhile.

Then it was off to play and walk along the cement curb behind the bench. He had more fun doing this than playing on the playground equipment.

This is our favorite park now to take the kids. There is a nice playground and then right beyond it is this area with tables and benches to sit at and a barbecue center where they have a sink and faucet where we
can refill their water cups.

Laura, this is right across the street from the pirate ship park as you go into the houses and condos. You might remember this area.

We were going to go to two parks yesterday - this one and then across the street where the pirate ship park is, but the kids were having so much fun at this one that before we knew it Jake had to get home for his nap. We couldn't keep his shoes on him. He likes to go barefoot.
